Friday the 13th Documentary Finds a Narrator

I live and breath horror (clearly) so you can imagine how insanely excited I become over horror documentaries. It's interesting and fun to see behind the scenes of some of my favorites and to hear insight from the stars and directors of the films as well. In 2010, we were given the in-depth look into the A Nightmare on Elm Street franchise with the awesome doc, Never Sleep Again: The Elm Street Legacy, and now horror fans can expect a similar documentary on Friday the 13th titled, Crystal Lake Memories: The Complete History of Friday the 13th! The upcoming film has just announced Corey Feldman as narrator and star.

Dread-Central reports that Feldman, who played Tommy Jarvis in Friday the 13th: A New Beginning, will guide the audience through the documentary as Heather Langenkamp did in Never Sleep Again. Several new interviews are currently being filmed for the horror production.

The film's director, Dan Farrands, told Dread, "We are thrilled to have Corey as the star of the show...His presence truly legitimizes this project as the definitive documentary on the Friday the 13th legacy. The whole team is excited to see this come together to give fans the retrospective that they deserve."

Crystal Lake Memories is being produced by the same team that brought us Never Sleep Again, which was four hours long and included many special features and extended interviews. The documentary is a must own for all horror fans, especially fans of Freddy Kreuger. With Never Sleep Again as a fine example, I can safely assume that Crystal Lake Memories will be just as awesome.

Are you excited about this Friday the 13th project?

After seeing "N.S.A.", I was hoping they would do something in this vein for the Friday films. I really liked the book, but it will cool to hear some more stories!
