We Are What We Are Cast News

Parents can be super annoying at times, often embarrassing you or making you do things that you don't want to do. However, the typical parental issues you may have had pail in comparison to what two sisters face in the remake of the horror, We Are What We Are. The film has landed Riley Keough and Julia Garner to star alongside Bill Sage and Wyatt Russell.

According to Screen Daily, the gorgeous granddaughter of Elvis will play one half of the sister duo who are secluded from society and forced to participate in a gruesome family tradition by their father, played by Sage. The film is being directed by Jim Mickle (Stake Land) and is described as a re-imagining of the Mexican horror, Somo Lo Que Hay, about a cannibalistic family.

In Mickle's version, the story takes place in a poor part of New York and follows two secluded sisters who's world changes once their mother dies. Following the untimely passing, the girl's father forces them to perform a ritual which has been carried out by their ancestors for generations. Russell will play a young deputy in love with Keough's character.

The film is set to release in January 2013.
